The Ducati Monster 795 features a few cost saving bits like the signature Ducati single side swingarm being replaced by the more conventional twin side layout. This aside, the Ducati Monster 795 is assembled at the Italian motorcycle maker’s Thailand plant through completely knocked down kits. also, a few of the non-cycle parts are sourced from Thailand, thus reducing the overall cost of this motorcycle.

Apart from the Monster 795, Ducati India sells a range of motorcycles at its Indian dealerships. All these motorcycles are completely built units imported directly from their countries of manufacture, resulting in steep prices ranging from 9 Lakhs to over 20 Lakhs. With Triumph lining up the Street Triple at a killer price of INR 5.75 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, the Monster 795, despite all the heritage surrounding it will have a tough job to become a big seller despite its low cost credentials.
